Off and running

We are off to a good start raising support.  We are already at 10% in just 2 weeks since we made the announcement!  We know in the beginning it will be exciting and faster then expected but near the end it could be daunting.  BUT we do know that because God has called us to this, He will also provide for us to go there!  It is a whole new mindset than we have ever considered before in regards to mission work.  Previously we raised support for one large pot to be spread out among many.  Now we raise support for our individual ministry in Madagascar.  There is alot of accountability in that as well as connectivity within the body.  People who are led by the Lord to financially support us encourage us that God has a plan and He is faithful.  Thus the title address of this blog!!  THIS IS A FAITH JOURNEY!!! 

We have SO much work to do to get ready to go.  Time is short even though our departure date is 8 months away!  The last piece of the puzzle to start fundraising full steam is receiving our prayer cards in the mail.  They will be here Tuesday!!  We are currently trying to organize our time and calendar.  We will be traveling this summer to several states to do support raising.  There will also be several fund raisers here in Kosciusko as well.  We are very excited to get people involved in what the Lord is going to do in Madagascar.  If you sense the Lord leading you to support us, please contact us!  The sooner we get our supporters set up, the sooner we reach our goal!!

Interwoven

Abigail's Baptism at Daytone Beach

There is no greater joy for a parent than to know that their children are saved and then to watch them be baptized.  Abigail was baptized on July 28, 2016 at 4pm in the Atlantic Ocean by Lew with the Church at Southlake.  So proud of her for being brave for Jesus! The Unexpected

The last 7 months have been so many things.  We settled into our temporary home in Florida quickly and have had wonderful fellowship with missionaries who have retired here after serving 20 up to even 50 years of service in Africa!!  Florida culture is different than we expected and much more transient.  There are SO many cultures represented here from all over the US and the World.  The children adjusted well to our new home once the homesickness began to fade.  They have had many unexpected opportunities.  They both played 2 months of rec soccer and then began taking gymnastics.  They have had several opportunities to spend time with the residents here on a regular basis like taking piano lessons from our next door neighbor and a pottery class upon our arrival and lots of bike riding. We have also had special friends come from Mississippi and gotten to spend time with dear friends returning from the field.  Lew's mom came for a visit and my parents made the long journey as well.
