Change is hard but God is Always Good!

In December we met our Minimum monthly support goal and our outbound account goal!!!!  That is all so exciting!  We will continue to raise support for additional housing costs and ministry needs and eventually for purchasing a vehicle in Madagascar.  2015 was an incredible year of seeing the Lord do incredible things in our life.  We had to rely on Him for everything and He provided everything we needed.  With this great news and forward movement towards Madagascar, also came the hard goodbyes of leaving Kosciusko, Ms, our home for the last 3 years and a previous stateside.  We have many wonderful relationships and were so blessed to serve that community for as long as we did.  It still hurts our hearts to think of all those we left behind.

We moved to Minneola Florida last week to begin working at the AIM facility.  We will work here and wait for our teammates to complete their support raising so we can all leave for Africa in July.  This detour is part of God's plan for us.  We were disappointed to not be leaving for Africa this month but at the same time, the Lord wastes nothing and so we have stepped out into this new plan with faith and trust that there are more things we need to learn before we leave.  We arrived here last week and have spent each day unpacking, discovering our new neighborhood and town, and getting to know the 80+ amazing retired missionaries who live here as well as the many volunteers who help this facility run.  We are so incredibly impressed with how well these faithful servants coming out of Africa have been taken care of by Africa Inland Mission (many have over 50 years service!)  We get to serve here for the next few months and I will continue to homeschool the girls.  At first I thought having 2 transitions would be a bad thing.  But of course, the Lord knows best.  The kids have adjusted well already and this 6 month service will be a good buffer in between their home in Mississippi and our major transition into Madagascar.  While we are here, we get to glean decades worth of wisdom from those whose shoulders we will be standing on as we serve in Africa.  We have already been so blessed by several conversations with neighbors.

Please pray for our continued support and for a good interim here in Minneola.  Pray for us to quickly find a vibrant church to be a part of and for friends for the girls.  Florida is a whole new culture for us.  The internationals here and the weather will be a good preparation for Madagascar!
